Lots of pictures!

Life's been very busy the last month. Still doing some birthday stuff, took a trip to Nantucket and forgot my camera, stitching with friends and all the normal life stuff. I have stitched, of course. Lets start with my Chessie and Me club piece.
This piece was so fun to do. Nataly attached it to the hornbook for me. Thanks friend. I had Vonna finish the small Drawn Thread piece for me. Her work is wonderful.
She used 3 different pieces of felt and i just love her bows. Thanks Vonna. I love it. I did Thomas and had him framed. He will be a wonderful addition to my Thanksgiving pieces.
He was framed in a simple black frame. I am obsessed with black frames. He is a handsome fellow.
I couldn't wait to do Beggar's Night. I just stuffed him and used orange ric rac for a hanger. He will be a great addition to the Halloween tree.
I had Autumn by Drawn Thread framed. This piece is small, so I used 2 mats and glass with the frame. It really is pretty. Had to get a good pic due to the glare. The frame goes really well with the orange mat. I am currently working on Noel by WTN. I am not a huge Christmas stitcher but i loved this design. It's large but so much fun to do.
Sorry about the wrinkles. I don't iron until I am finished. Love the red house, the deer, the borders! I just love it all. This post is long, so thanks for hanging in with me.   Sammi would like to wish everyone and their pets a very Merry Christmas.   I started this the other day and I must say, that I am not enjoying it. Love the design but the colors are very close in their shades. It was very hard to pick a fabric that will allow all the colors to be seen.   Yesterday I decided to make bread by hand. This is Christmas Stollen . My braiding leaves alot to be desired, but it turned out delicious! It's full of fruit and nuts. I have a bread machine and use it a lot but I really enjoyed the kneading and rising and kneading again. It was very soothing. I will be taking a loaf over to Cheryl's for Christmas Eve. She has a yearly family gathering, which we have been going to for 20 years or so.   This is alittle sampling of the cookies we made on Tuesday. Nantucket and more

It's been a wild couple of weeks in Eastern Massachusetts. The blizzard dumped over 2 feet of snow, left my area without power for 5 days and left a lot of devistation in her wake. I lost many trees in the back yard and two beautiful Christmas type pines in the front. Thankfully none of the trees fell on the house. This past week end we got another 6 inches of snow. I love snow but I have had enough for the year. On to the stitching, which is why we are all here. I went to the framers just before the blizzard and picked up Nantucket. I love this piece.      The frame is beautiful. Reminds me of drift wood. It isn't as blue as the picture would suggest. It's a gray blue color. Goes perfectly with the design. I have had many questions about the color of the house, yes I changed the color. I didn't have 2 of the called for color and changed it to King Mackerel by WDW and instead of the Barrel Cactus I used DMC 927. I like the changes.    Here are three o...

Is It Autumn Yet?

I am so tired of the hot and humid weather. Summer is not my season. I have decided that I need to stitch Fall designs. I had Autumn Alphabet stretched and put in an in and out frame. Love the colors. After Autumn Band sampler was stretched, it also went into an in and out frame. Halloweenies is my favorite of all of these pieces. I just love Paulette's designs. I think that the frame is perfect for the design. Next up is Autumn on Marigold Lane. I think that this will probably be framed. It was a fun stitch that worked up quickly. I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. This was a big BD ..... 60! I wondered if I would feel different with this BD and I am glad to say that I don't. Yeah!! lol. I went to New Hampshire and Vermont with friends for a few days. I was treated like a queen. Stayed in a beautiful B&B, ate some wonderful food, shopped and saw some gorgeous scenery.
