June

I finished June by PS. This could be my fav of all the months so far. I think I say that after everyone. Love the colors and all the little motifs. Click on any of the pictures for a better view. Below is the full design.
I will have this stretched for my pop it in and out frame. It's done on 32 ct lambswool jobelan with DMC floss.

It's been a very busy week. I had expected to post before this. I made 5 loafs of Irish Soda Bread . I shared some with my Wednesday stitching group. Had a St.Patrick's Day dinner for family and friends. They all got to bring bread home with them. I had a great dessert but forgot to take pictures. I got the beautiful piece of pottery in Ireland about 10 years ago. Friday was a beautiful day and I spent it outside raking some the gardens. I did all of them in the front yard. You wouldn't be able to tell today because it SNOWED. It didn't cover the streets but my yard is still snowy white. I am so tired of the cold and snow. That's the reason why I have a new header of daffodils. Very Spring like. They are one of my favorite flowers and the season is short. These came from England and are really beautiful. Had a large bouquet on the table for St. Patrick's dinner. Thanks for all the great comments and I have almost 400 followers. I am going to have to come up with something for another giveaway.   Sammi would like to wish everyone and their pets a very Merry Christmas.   I started this the other day and I must say, that I am not enjoying it. Love the design but the colors are very close in their shades. It was very hard to pick a fabric that will allow all the colors to be seen.   Yesterday I decided to make bread by hand. This is Christmas Stollen . My braiding leaves alot to be desired, but it turned out delicious! It's full of fruit and nuts. I have a bread machine and use it a lot but I really enjoyed the kneading and rising and kneading again. It was very soothing. I will be taking a loaf over to Cheryl's for Christmas Eve. She has a yearly family gathering, which we have been going to for 20 years or so.   This is alittle sampling of the cookies we made on Tuesday. Nantucket and more

It's been a wild couple of weeks in Eastern Massachusetts. The blizzard dumped over 2 feet of snow, left my area without power for 5 days and left a lot of devistation in her wake. I lost many trees in the back yard and two beautiful Christmas type pines in the front. Thankfully none of the trees fell on the house. This past week end we got another 6 inches of snow. I love snow but I have had enough for the year. On to the stitching, which is why we are all here. I went to the framers just before the blizzard and picked up Nantucket. I love this piece.      The frame is beautiful. Reminds me of drift wood. It isn't as blue as the picture would suggest. It's a gray blue color. Goes perfectly with the design. I have had many questions about the color of the house, yes I changed the color. I didn't have 2 of the called for color and changed it to King Mackerel by WDW and instead of the Barrel Cactus I used DMC 927. I like the changes.    Here are three o...

Is It Autumn Yet?

I am so tired of the hot and humid weather. Summer is not my season. I have decided that I need to stitch Fall designs. I had Autumn Alphabet stretched and put in an in and out frame. Love the colors. After Autumn Band sampler was stretched, it also went into an in and out frame. Halloweenies is my favorite of all of these pieces. I just love Paulette's designs. I think that the frame is perfect for the design. Next up is Autumn on Marigold Lane. I think that this will probably be framed. It was a fun stitch that worked up quickly. I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. This was a big BD ..... 60! I wondered if I would feel different with this BD and I am glad to say that I don't. Yeah!! lol. I went to New Hampshire and Vermont with friends for a few days. I was treated like a queen. Stayed in a beautiful B&B, ate some wonderful food, shopped and saw some gorgeous scenery.
